Questions?

WE HAVE ANSWERS!!

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

YES! An appointment is required so we can reserve your desired time. For same day service, please call or text your Esthetician. Please be approximately 5 minutes early if possible, to avoid losing your desired time. If you are running behind or are not able to keep your appointment, we appreciate a call, text or online cancellation 24 hours in advance.

ARE THERE ANY DEALS FOR FIRST TIMERS?

We are always excited to see fresh faces and offer frequent waxing discount cards

DOES IT HURT? WELL……SO SO PAIN

Waxing hurts more the first time than any other time because 100% of the hair is being pulled out, you'll probably be a little tense, and you don't know what to expect. Waxing on a regular basis makes the hair thinner and sparser so the pain is a lot less. We promise. Plus, our estheticians work quickly and are trained in techniques that minimize discomfort associated with waxing.

“I’m worried about the pain, what can I do to reduce it?”

Taking anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil or Tylenol approximately 30 minutes prior to your appointment will help ease the discomfort. as long as this does not contradict what your doctor has told you If you are a female client, schedule your waxing service the first 2 weeks after your cycle. Your sensitivity level is a lot less during this time. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as these can stimulate, making you more sensitive and increase redness after waxing. Pregnancy also increases sensitivity.

WHAT KIND OF WAX DO THE BENTLEY BABES USE?

We are proud to use Cirepil Hard and soft wax. Unlike traditional methods of waxing, Cirépil wax sticks to the hair rather than the skin, helping to reduce the pain of waxing. Cirépil wax encapsulates the hair, removing it from the root while leaving the skin undamaged. When the integrity of the skin is uncompromised, there is reduced inflammation, redness and downtime for the client

.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO BE COMPLETELY BARE DOWN THERE?

We offer Bikini and Brazilian wax services that cater to our client's preferred needs. If you still have a concern, we can customize a Brazilian wax to exclude any part of the service.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO WAX?

Clients must be at least 18 years of age, or have parental approval/signature to wax with us.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?

The general rule is every 4 to 6 weeks, however, many Brazilian and Brow clients can come back in as little as every 3 weeks to keep their hair maintained. Individuals are well….individual! Some will grow hair faster than others, so please ask your Esthetician what is the perfect timing for you.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT BEFORE MY FIRST WAX?

To get the best waxing results, we need your hair to be at least 1/4 of an inch long or a Grain of rice. This is an average of 2-3 weeks of growth. Yes, it seems like a long time to grow, but it’s worth the waxing results

I AM PREGNANT, CAN I GET A BIKINI OR BRAZILIAN WAX?

Yes. However, you can be more sensitive and if you are having a complicated pregnancy or are nearing your due date, please ask your doctor before proceeding. We will make your experience as comfortable as possible.

CAN I WAX ON MY PERIOD? THAT TIME OF THE MONTH?

We prefer if you didn’t. (Always allow five days for your menstrual cycle. Because of water retention and for your own personal comfort, you should avoid hair removal two days before your cycle is due and two days after it is completed.)

CAN I TAN BEFORE OR AFTER WAXING?

We recommend not waxing after prolonged sun exposure in the previous 24 hours, if you are sunburned, or have any sort of allergic skin reaction. This is because the top layer of skin may be more likely to lift which could result in increased sensitivity, bleeding, or even scarring. Use sunscreen and avoid tanning within 48 hours of waxing, because freshly waxed skin is more likely to burn.

“I’m not exactly sure what service I am looking to have done…”

If you are unsure of what service you would like to have done, feel free to discuss it with your esthetician so we can book the proper amount of time for the appointment.

I GOT MY BROWS WAXED ONCE AND SOME SKIN CAME OFF, WHY IS THAT?

There can be several reasons for this. If you are using skincare products that contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) of any kind, these can cause the skin to lift while waxing. Another cause is aggressive exfoliation such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Prescription medication such as antibiotics, accutane, retin-a, renova, strivectin, proactive, and average can cause thinning of the skin which results in lifting during waxing. My recommendation is that if you are unsure about what you are using, just ask. But it is still difficult to predict how every skin type will react no matter how many precautions are taken.

WILL MY SKIN GET RED? HOW LONG WILL MY SKIN STAY RED?

For most people, the redness is mostly gone after 30 minutes to an hour. Avoid perfumes, scrubs, and other irritants the day of your service. For brides or if you are going to a special occasion, I recommend waxing a month before to see how your skin reacts. If everything is fine, schedule another wax a day or two before your event

DO A LOT OF PEOPLE GET BRAZILIANS?

Brazilians are a popular service. Our estheticians are professionally trained and specialize in waxing the bikini area. We perform Brazilians every day for both women AND men!

DO A LOT OF MALES COME IN FOR WAXING?

Yes. About 20% of our clientele are men. We offer brow and body waxing for male clients, we offer all waxing services for men- including the manzilian! .

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS?

Exfoliate! To ensure your next wax is smoother and prevent ingrown hairs, we suggest exfoliating 2-3 times a week in the shower. By doing this, dead skin and oils are removed from the surface of the skin so the hair is able to grow back evenly with minimal irritation.

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT INGROWN HAIRS?

Begin exfoliating 72 hours after waxing. Remember to work in the direction of the hair growth, not against it or in circles. For best results, keep up this routine 2 to 3 times a week.

SHOULD I SHAVE OR TWEEZE BETWEEN VISITS?

If your waxing appointments do not coordinate with your monthly schedule, tweezing is a quick fix. We strongly advise our clients not to shave in-between visits because shaving disrupts the hair growth and will make your next wax more uncomfortable. But let’s stay away from the razor!

WILL MY HAIR GROW BACK DARKER OR THICKER?

No! Waxing actually helps the hair to grow back at a finer texture, making it easier to remove during your next visit. And an added bonus: The more you get waxed, the less it hurts; it just keeps getting better!
